In observance of Cesar Chavez Day, Bell Gardens City Hall will be closed on Monday, March 25, 2024. Regular business hours will resume on Tuesday, March 26, 2024. The following City offices will also be closed during the holiday:

•The Community Family Service Center at Veterans Park
•Senior Center at Veterans Park
•Clara Street Senior Center
•Ford Park Main Office
•Bell Gardens Veterans Park Game Room.
•Neighborhood Youth Center.
•Public Works Office Closed. To report emergencies, please contact the Police Department.
•City Planning, Building & Safety, Business License, Housing, and Economic Development Offices
•Code Enforcement Office. Urgent matters to be referred to the Police Department.
Other City offices, programs and services:
•Holiday Street Sweeping will not be impacted by the holiday
•Trash Collection Schedule will not be impacted by the holiday
•City Council Meeting canceled.
•Job Corps Office Hours canceled.
•Supper Program: Open 2pm-4pm. (Veterans Park Game Room, Neighborhood Youth Center). NOTE: Supper Program closed Friday, March 22, 2024, due to Game Room and NYC closure.
•Sport Office. Open 3-9pm
•Sports Center will continue with normal hours of operation
•Golf Course will remain open 7AM to 6PM, last tee at 4PM, on 3/25
•Chet Holifield Park Pool & Aquatics programming closed
•After-School Sites - NYC, Veterans Park and Ford Park Sites closed.
•Homework Club closed.
•Slice of Art closed.
•The Trolley will not be impacted by the holiday.
•Dial-A-Ride (DART) will operate from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on 3/25.
•Sand & Sandbags are available at the Fire Station - LA County Fire Department - 7000 Garfield Ave. 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
•Police Department services will not be impacted by the holiday and will continue to operate 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
•Public Records Request submitted during the holiday closure will be deemed received by the City Clerk’s office on March 26, 2024.
•Passports. No passport service appointments.
