HOLIDAY TREE RECYCLING

Athens Services will collect Christmas trees FREE of charge for all Bell Gardens residents from January 2-13, 2023.

Drop-off locations will also be available from January 6-20 at Veterans Park (6662 Loveland St.) and at the Public Works Yard (8327 Garfield Ave). These drop-off locations will be open Monday - Thursday from 7:00 am - 5:00 pm for residents to drop off Christmas trees. To ensure that your tree is collected and properly recycled, please take note of the following instructions:

1. Remove all lights, ornaments, tinsel, and the stand.
2. Place trees at the curb next to your trash containers on your regular collection day.
3. Please do not block streets, alleys, or sidewalks.
4. Trees that are flocked or coated with fire retardant are not recyclable and will NOT be collected. Please call Athens at (888) 336-6100 to schedule a bulky item pick-up.
