In observance of Independence Day, Bell Gardens City Hall will be closed on Tuesday, July 4, 2023. Regular business hours will resume on Wednesday, July 5, 2023. The following City offices will also be closed:
•Bell Gardens Veterans Park Office Closed
•The Community Family Service Center at Veterans Park Closed
•Senior Center at Veterans Park Closed
•Clara Street Senior Center Closed
•Ford Park Main Office Closed
•Sport Office Closed. Fields will be closed to the general public and available by reservation only.
•Public Works Office Closed. To report emergencies, please contact the Police Department.
•City Planning, Building & Safety, Business License, Housing, and Economic Development Offices Closed
•Code Enforcement Office Closed. Urgent matters to be referred to the Police Department.
Other City offices, programs and services:
•There will be no street sweeping and trash collection on Independence Day - Tuesday, July 4th. When there is no street sweeping, it will NOT be made up. Streets can only be swept on the posted day. When there is no trash collection, it WILL be made up. Trash will be collected the day after the normal collection day. For example, Tuesday’s trash will be collected on Wednesday.
•The Dial-A-Ride (DART) will not operate on 7/4
•Trolley will not operate on 7/4
•Traffic & Safety Commission Meeting canceled on 7/4
•Bell Gardens Veterans Park Game Room CLOSED
•Neighborhood Youth Center CLOSED
• Supper Program CLOSED (Veterans Park Game Room, Neighborhood Youth Center)
• Summer Day Camp Session 3 will be closed on 7/4
•Chet Holifield Park Pool / Aquatics programming closed for the day
•After-School Sites will be CLOSED
•Golf Course will remain open 7AM to 6PM, last tee at 4PM
•Police Department services will not be impacted by the holiday and will continue to operate 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
•NO FIREWORKS. ALL FIREWORKS are ILLEGAL in the City of Bell Gardens. Please be considerate of your neighbors who may have special needs, PTSD, and or pets. Anyone caught lighting, selling, or in possession of illegal fireworks will be cited.
•Public Records Request submitted during the holiday closure will be deemed received by the City Clerk’s office on Wednesday, July 5th.
•Passports. No passport service appointments on 7/4
