In observance of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Day, Bell Gardens City Hall will be closed on Monday, January 16, 2023. Regular business hours will resume on Tuesday, January 17, 2023. The following City offices will also be closed:

•The Community Family Service Center at Veterans Park Closed
• Senior Center at Veterans Park Closed
•Bell Gardens Veterans Park Game Room Closed
•Neighborhood Youth Center Closed
•Clara Street Senior Center Closed
•Ford Park Main Office Closed
•Sport Office Closed. Fields will be closed to the general public and available by reservation only.
•Public Works Office Closed. To report emergencies, please contact the Police Department.
•City Planning, Building & Safety, Business License, and Economic Development Offices Closed
•Code Enforcement Office Closed. Urgent matters to be referred to the Police Department.
Other City offices, programs and services:
•COVID-19 Testing Clinic Closed
•COVID-19 Vaccination Clinic Closed
•Supper Program Closed (Veterans Park Game Room, Neighborhood Youth Center)
•Golf Course will remain open 7AM to 5PM, last tee at 3PM
•The Dial-A-Ride (DART) – one bus will only run from 10AM to 4PM
•Trolley will operate on its regular schedule
•Holiday Street Sweeping will not be impacted by the holiday
•Trash Collection Schedule will not be impacted by the holiday
•Sand & Sandbags are available at the Fire Station - LA County Fire Department - 7000 Garfield Ave. 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
•Holiday Trees. Drop-off locations are available from January 6-20 (EXCEPT January 16) at Veterans Park (6662 Loveland St.) and at the Public Works Yard (8327 Garfield Ave). These drop-off locations will be open Monday – Thursday (Except January 16) from 7:00 am - 5:00 pm for residents to drop off Christmas trees.
•Police Department services will not be impacted by the holiday and will continue to operate 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
•Public Records Request submitted during the holiday closure will be deemed received by the City Clerk’s office on Tuesday, January 17, 2023.
•Passports. No passport service appointments on 1/16
