RENT CONTROL PUBLIC WORKSHOP 

The Bell Gardens Rent Control Ad Hoc Committee was created by the Bell Gardens City Council in 2019 to address tenant protections prior to the enactment of AB 182, "The Tenant Protection Act of 2019". The Committee was re-activated a year after AB 1482 became effective to address protections that were not covered by State Law. The members have been meeting over the past few months and speaking with experts on this very important topic.

We would like to hear from you. Please join us on December 9, 2021, for our first public workshop. The workshop will be held in person at Ross Hall (Veterans Park) but also available virtually through Zoom for those that prefer not to attend in person. We encourage both tenants and landlords to attend. Your input will be essential in formulating a recommendation from the Committee to the City Council.
